Princess Madeleine and Jonas Bergström have broken off their engagement, unfortunately. "After careful consideration, Princess Madeleine and Jonas Bergström jointly decided to go separate ways," the Royal Court writes on its website. "Princess Madeleine and Jonas Bergström appeals to the media to show them respect and consideration for this decision. They need peace and quiet in this difficult situation. The extreme media coverage do not ease the situation for them," the Royal Court writes on its website[swedish] and announced that no further statement will be given.

 On 11 aug 2009, princess Madeleine of Sweden announced that she will marry her boyfriend Jonas Bergström. Princess Madeleine is 27, the youngest of King Carl XVI Gustaf's three children, and third in line to the throne. Madeleine has a bachelor degree in art, ethnology and modern history. She is popular among the Swedish population for her grace, beauty and keen engagement in social issues, such as her involvement in the World Childhood Foundation charity. Jonas Bergström is 30, a lawyer, and son of an entrepreneur. The couple has been together for almost eight years, and met each other through mutual friends in the autumn of 2002. The Princess said in an interview that they became engaged in Capri in early June 2009. The news came as a surprise, since only six months ago Madeleine's elder sister Crown Princess Victoria also announced her engagement to her boyfriend Daniel Westling, for June 2010. Princess Madeleine's wedding will take place in autumn or winter 2010.

Hi all! The site is up again after we moved it to a new webhost.
This new host should be able to cope with the large number of visitors that recently reached this site. There are still some things we need to iron out, but the gallery is available again! Hi all, Today the gallery just grew larger than 3000 pictures! I am happy to have come this far, and hope i will find time in the future to at least double it in size. First now, i'm focusing on filling it backwards: 2007, 2006, 2005, etc. If you find new pictures that aren't in the gallery yet, please post a link to them in the forums and I'll add them.

Hi! We reached the first mile-stone: all pictures of 2006 & 2007 are now in the Gallery ! (Perhaps I have some more among my uncategorized pics, but those will be added later) . Currently the gallery contains 1500+ photos, which leaves an estimated more than 5000 more pics to be added (from 2005 and earlier). This costs a lot of time, because I like to order the pictures chronologically within each album, and to remove duplicates for pics i got from different sources. I hope you'll appreciate this! :) So dear visitor: if you like this new site, please put a link on your website/blog/space... to help others find it. And don't hesitate to leave a message in the Forums: I like to hear your opinion!! Best wishes, Madeleine

 Hi all! It's nice to see some visitors already found this site, even while it's still young! I added new scans to the gallery, from a magazine I bought during a trip to Norway last week. I heard that Scandinavians can regularly find new magazines with exclusive Madeleine material. Unfortunately these photos do not always reach the rest of the world (where I happen to live). Please read this Forum Topic to hear my request. Now most of my images of 2007 are added. So next I'll work through the 2006 pics and then continue backwards. Please be patient, it takes some time to build a gallery of 1000s of pics :) Meanwhile, enjoy this growing site! |

 Hi and welcome to the new site for Princess Madeleine of Sweden!
Now i got the site running, I'll start by expanding the Gallery section. I built a collection of 1000s of pics over the years, and now i'll share them! It will be nice to have them all in one place and to get them categorized. Next to the Gallery, I've thrown in a Forum as well. So we can talk about what she's doing, where she's going, as well as share her latest pics. So to all you Madeleine fans out there: enjoy this fresh new site !! |
